Here I am, living in the south of France, in the Aude in Languedoc, a real estate agent.

I’ve always dreamed of living in France. When I was 10 I went to Paris and Nice with my parents and brothers. I would happily have stayed behind. I loved it. There was always that thought, somewhere far at the back of my mind, ‘someday I’m going to live in France’.

Not that I did anything about it. I didn’t learn French, other than the French I took in school. I didn’t visit other parts of France, Paris and Nice were it. I got on with life, got married had a child, lived in Zambia and in Barbados, back to Canada, got divorced, time passed.

When I was 49 I suddenly realized that if I was ever going to live in France I’d better do something about it. So I did. And here I am. Living in a small stone house on a wine domaine in the Corbières, in the Aude. And loving it.

I've been here since March 2002 have no immediate desire to live in Canada again. Not that there is anything wrong with Canada, it’s just that I love it here.

Aude France is a way to tell you a bit more about real estate and property in the south of France, particularly in the Aude, in Languedoc. It's also about living in the Aude, and in France.
